Week 9 Term 1: Check it out!

Good morning everyone, Words can not express how proud I am of the children and how well they are adjusting to this enormous change. I hope they are still continuing their leadership at home and being mature in their learning.  In the email sent home this morning with the Learning Grid, I have referred to a Teams chat roster for the students. Please see below the days the students are required to logon at 9 am to chat with me.  Look What's Been Happening!   This week Jack, Ollie, Ed and Banjo cooked up a storm with their delicious pizza's. The basil was definitely the hero! To top it all off, we found out just before eating that it was Ed's birthday, so we had the perfect celebration!  Here are the school crew creating their rainbows for Art. Rainbow's were everywhere this week, I loved that Hannah got some fresh air whilst creating her masterpiece!                         The Jennings family were busy at work this week

Good afternoon, I hope you and the family are all safe and well, finding the positives during this tricky time. The weather is definitely turning it on for us this week, I can already feel the need for some outdoor learning! I want to take this opportunity to thank those who have sent me words of thanks and praise, we really  are just trying to keep things as normal as possible for the kids, whilst keeping them as safe as we can. I will continue to support those at home and those at school the very best I can. We have implemented a few additional hygiene practices in class to ensure we minimise the spread of germs. A big congratulations to Zali who received our Merit Award last week. She is such a motivated learner who exudes so much passion for learning. I also want to congratulate Lochie on receiving the Runner Up MVP award for the Busselton Blazers over the weekend. So many champions in our class, well done guys! Good morning, Welcome to a new week! It was such a pleasant change to have some rain over the weekend. I know that my garden was very appreciative for the cooler relief and moisture. In saying that, I did feel at times I was in Melbourne adding on and peeling off clothing layers every 10 minutes! I just couldn't get it quite right. Congratulations to our little champions who did so well in their competitions and events over the weekend. We had dressage comps, cricket and basketball finals, surfing comps and scholarship testing. I feel so lucky to have such a clever bunch of students with varied gifts and talents! REMINDERS - WEEK 7  Stationery Check  If I can please ask you to check your child's stationery and top up any needed items. If possible, would you also send in a whiteboard marker with your child when you can. We are using these a lot at the moment and I am fast running out. Harmony Day   Will be celebrated on the 21st March in Australia. We celebrate Harmon

Good morning parents, I hope you had a well-deserved rest over the long weekend. I know that Dunsborough had so much to offer and was buzzing with many events. My family and I were unfortunately absent from all the festivities here in Dunsborough, however we did get to have a mini getaway in Bunbury whilst my husband helped out at the Bunbury Geographe Gift  (What, you say?? Lots of running races is the best way to describe it!)  I want to congratulate all the entrants who participated in the X-Factor over the weekend, I heard we had a strong bunch of entertainers representing OLC. A special congratulations goes out to Hannah, who won the event. We also had some surfers who participated in a comp on Monday morning, who too did very well for themselves...and just because we are such a clever bunch there were a couple of basketball games in Perth that were just as successful. What a weekend! Well done to Lucas for receiving our merit award last week. We love the way Lucas
