Week 9 Term 1: Check it out!

Good morning everyone,

Words can not express how proud I am of the children and how well they are adjusting to this enormous change. I hope they are still continuing their leadership at home and being mature in their learning. 

In the email sent home this morning with the Learning Grid, I have referred to a Teams chat roster for the students. Please see below the days the students are required to logon at 9 am to chat with me. 



Look What's Been Happening!

 

This week Jack, Ollie, Ed and Banjo cooked up a storm with their delicious pizza's. The basil was definitely the hero! To top it all off, we found out just before eating that it was Ed's birthday, so we had the perfect celebration!


 Here are the school crew creating their rainbows for Art.



Rainbow's were everywhere this week, I loved that Hannah got some fresh air whilst creating her masterpiece!


                       

The Jennings family were busy at work this week, such a talented bunch. Even Elli got involved and created her own Art. We love it!






It was such a treat to hear that you were finding opportunities to catch up with each other on Zoom. I got to see a little part of your Reader's Theatre that you did together, good job team! (Don't forget to record it on OneNote so I can hear it too.)


Keep working hard everyone, don't forget to send pictures through to show us what you are getting up to. I will post these on Monday's blog for your peers to see.


Important Reminders

1. Gratitude Journal Online - see OneNote for the template - write 3 things you are thankful for
    each day. Add this to the template in your folder 'Gratitude Journal - GEM'

 2. Final copy of your narrative due Tuesday 31st March - please email me your Word document.

3. Science Investigation due Thursday 2nd April - please email
    your PPT, Pic Collage or Recording over to me.

4. Maths Test - Friday 3rd April - this can be found on and
    completed in OneNote (do your best, use a stylus if you can).

Good morning, We hope you are enjoying the beautiful start to the holidays. Whilst our end to the term was quite intense, we hope that the weeks of home schooling weren't too stressful on you all. I was so proud at how quickly the students adapted to the new situation and then produced incredible pieces of work.  I am currently working through all the marking: Narratives, Basil Presentations and Maths tests but from what I've seen so far there are some very pleasing results. All Maths tests completed and uploaded have been marked and your child's results can be found where they saved their test in OneNote. The results for the other two tasks will be saved in OneNote under 'Assessment Results' in the coming week for your child to view. Good Evening All, It is with great sadness I say that this will be my final blog post for the year. I can not describe how incredibly proud of students and the leaders this group has become. They have worked hard, played hard and lead hard...what more could I have asked for! Thank you for the amazing support and care you have shown me throughout the year. The constant check-ins, the quick response to my endless requests and willingness to help in anyway has been both noted and appreciated throughout the year. Many thanks to our parent reps for making my job easy and communicating anything that needed to be done, I am so grateful. Whilst I don't think I deserve it, I am touched to have received a very generous voucher to Blue Manna from the class and a number of thoughtful gifts from other families. Kaya, This blog has been expertly created by Imogen King and Tilly Hall, and I am sure you will agree that they have done a wonderful job.  Hope you all had a nice refreshing weekend with your friends and family!
