Week 8 Term 4 - The Big One...

Image
Good evening all, It was only this morning, that I realised what a big ask it was on you all to get the students dropped off at the church. I realised this when I was in the Church at 8.50am with Mrs Sherborne, Mrs Meyer, Mr T and my husband, working so flexibly around my schedule to ensure that this very important practise got done. I am an incredibly lucky lady to have such supportive people around me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, especially if you had to rearrange your schedule this morning. The rehearsal went well and I am so excited for when it all comes together on Friday, as it should be such a great night. This bunch just keeps on blowing me away...how amazing were they at Friday night's musical! So many students pushing their limits and playing their individual parts just superbly. Earlier on Friday, we celebrated 3 incredible award winners: Kobe for his Musical efforts, Allira for teaching us all how to be resilient and a darn good person and then Banjo fo

Good morning all, As we reach the end, I think it may be easier to focus on one week at a time and the events of that week. It has been a long weekend of report writing and I'm almost there! I did take some time out to catch up with my mum for her birthday in Bunbury and be entertained by these two monkeys! I hope you had time to relax and enjoy the weekend and celebrate with me the joys of not having to pack a lunchbox this morning with the little cherubs having an extra day off to rest! MUSICAL!!! A lot of information has been sent out about the Musical Performance and Matinee, so I am going to scale it back and keep it brief: MATINEE: Tuesday 24th November @ 2pm in the hall. Thank you to those who have been able to offer their services for makeup starting at 10am and to the stage dressers who will work their magic Tuesday morning. xxx FRIDAY NIGHT PERFORMANCE: Friday 27th November @ 7pm in the hall. A text will be sent out later in the week to state the timings for the makeup

Welcome to Week 6

Good morning all, I'm back on deck and feeling good!  I have just realised that we are now super close to the finish line and it's that time of year where no matter how hard I try to slow everything down it is just not going to happen! With reports on the go, musical next week, graduation around the corner and our final excursion less than a month away, I feel that I am going to be constantly running...so apologies if I do miss something along the way. Please let me know if I do, and I'll get on top of it straight away! On Friday the students had a lovely day at the Cricket Blaster Carnival with Mrs Martin. The students represented the school well with plenty of talented cricketers amongst us I hear. They were so lucky the weather held out...what a nice way to spend a day out of the classroom. As we were away for the assembly last week, we have missed celebrating a Merit Award and Star Citizen. These will be caught up this Friday, what a big day it will be for 6R! On a more

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a wonderful weekend where ever you were: lazing around in Hamelin Bay, catching some rays at a surf comp in Perth or just happy chilling at home! The weather was perfect for getting out and into the water! Unfortunately I am writing this from home, as my hay fever has turned nasty and I am very croaky, sore and snuffly. I am off to the doctors soon and hopefully I can get something to help clear my head. This is definitely not the time to get sick, as there is far too much to get sorted for the end of the year. Fingers crossed I'll be back tomorrow. I want to take this opportunity to celebrate the very talented young artist, Zahra Love, who won the Peace Prize Competition for 2020 on Friday afternoon.  Kaye McCormack from the Lion's Club presented Zahra with a certificate and $100 gift voucher. Kaye was most impressed with the quality and detail the students put into this task, interpreting the theme 'Peace Through Service' in such

Good morning all, JUST A SHORT ONE THIS WEEK... Welcome back to another week! As the children are coming off their sugar highs from Halloween, I noticed some tired little munchkins yesterday. I know my boys were the same in the Ricciardone household and some early nights are required this week. As the end of the year ramps up a little and hormones and growth spurts are kicking in, I am asking that where possible you make sure your child is getting as much sleep as possible to allow their bodies and brains to rejuvenate. At assembly last week we had two 6R champions to celebrate, first Ed received our Merit for his hardwork, persistence and 'never give up' attitude and then Sophie won Mama CC (MJR Award) for using her initiative and helping others in need. Congratulations to both our super stars! Click here to see Ed Receive his award... REMINDERS - WEEK 4 GRADUATION POWERPOINT-   Thank you to those who have already done this...however for those who haven't can you please r
