Week 8 Term 4 - The Big One...

2 blessed to be stressed

Good evening all,

It was only this morning, that I realised what a big ask it was on you all to get the students dropped off at the church. I realised this when I was in the Church at 8.50am with Mrs Sherborne, Mrs Meyer, Mr T and my husband, working so flexibly around my schedule to ensure that this very important practise got done. I am an incredibly lucky lady to have such supportive people around me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, especially if you had to rearrange your schedule this morning.

The rehearsal went well and I am so excited for when it all comes together on Friday, as it should be such a great night.

This bunch just keeps on blowing me away...how amazing were they at Friday night's musical! So many students pushing their limits and playing their individual parts just superbly. Earlier on Friday, we celebrated 3 incredible award winners: Kobe for his Musical efforts, Allira for teaching us all how to be resilient and a darn good person and then Banjo for showing the value of excellence in all that he does!

Congratulations guys!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS - WEEK 8

GRADUATION

The mass will commence this Friday 8th December at Our Lady of the Southern Cross at 5.30pm. It is expected to run for approximately 1hour and 15mins, returning to school for dinner at around 7pm. The students are to wear formal attire ('Sunday best') to this event. Can you please ensure you arrive 10 mins before the start, so you can find your spot and your child can settle. Please contact me if you have any further questions about the Mass.

BUSY BEE

Bitmoji Image
This Wednesday we will be heading to the church again at 10.45am for our final rehearsal, followed by a Busy Bee in the afternoon. The students will eat their recess before we head to the church and then eat lunch at the church, in between the rehearsal and tidy up.

We have six adult helpers on the day, who will take small groups of 4/5 to complete small tasks such as weeding/gardening, window cleaning, dusting, vacumming, wiping pews, rubbish collecting, etc. It is such a great way for the students to give back to the community through some service learning.

We ask that the students wear their Sports uniform on the day (TEAL POLO NOT LEAVERS SHIRT), bring gardening gloves and any other gardening tools that may be helpful. Please make sure they have packed a full water bottle and substantial lunch on the day.

We will be leaving the church at 2.30pm, to ensure we return to school before 3pm.

ST VINNIES DONATIONS

A reminder that we are collecting christmas food and decorative items...if you can please have them in by the end of Week 8, we would be very appreciative!

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Bitmoji ImageThe Christmas Concert is taking place next Tuesday 8th December. It commences at 5:30pm, so please ensure that your child is here at 5:15pm. Your child will be  required to attend their classroom by 5:15pm and will walk down as a class, while you can find a nice spot on the hill. As mentioned in our last school newsletter, the students have been asked to wear Christmas colours to the upcoming concert on Tue 8th December. Can I ask that the Year 6’s dress in their Leaver's t-shirt with christmas trimmings, such as hats, antlers, earrings, tinsel, etc. for the night, but more information will be coming from Mrs. Horrocks and Mrs Sherborne soon.

EXCURSION PERMISSION SLIP

Today the students brought home a note and permission slip for the Excursion next Wednesday. Can you please ensure these are completed and returned to school by the end of the week.

Sorry it was a bit of a boring blog this week...saving all my pizzazz for the Graduation Speech on Friday night:)

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone,
