Week 11 - IMPORTANT CONFIRMATION & HOLIDAY UPDATE!

 Kaya, The holidays are in sight, however no time for the Year 6 team to rest as yet! Confirmation is just around the corner, hence why we are sending out this very important blog post. Within it, there are many details that will hopefully allow our first two weeks of next term to run a little more smoothly. Please read carefully: CONFIRMATION PREPARATION Our Confirmation Mass is set to take place on Sunday 1st August at 8.30am at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Parish . As part of our Confirmation Program at the school, it is expected that all students participate , whether it be in a prayer buddy (Non-Catholic) or Confirmation Candidate (Catholic) capacity. This means that all students will be exposed to the learning behind this sacrament, as well as having a part within the mass. Obviously those who aren't Catholic will not officially receive the Sacrament of Confirmation but will be included in things such as the liturgical movement, a blessing and receive a certificate. Simulating earthquakes in Science, writing the most informative and well-written Information Reports in English and cooking s'mores using solar in Technologies are just to name a few.   ⭐⭐ Merit   Award ⭐⭐ Well done to Nathan and Zayne on receiving our 6R Merit Award for week 9.  Both boys have shown an incredible amount of determination and rigor this week in their learning, experiencing success in multiple learning areas. We hope you are all having a wonderful weekend with the people you love.  🀩🀩 How good was that long weekend last week, it now seems so far away! We have now finally entered the Wadandi season of Makuru!!  It is now the coldest and wettest time of the year. Makuru is also known as the fertility season. The season is represented by the colour dark blue which symbolises rain, storms, and cold weather. πŸ’¦πŸ’§☔ ⭐⭐ Merit   Award ⭐⭐ Well done to Tara Tutt and Paige Maslin for receiving our 6R Merit Award for week 8.  Both girls are such incredible role models within our class that bring unique qualities and talents to our class's skill set.
