OMG...I can't believe we are here!

Good morning all,


What a beautiful night it was on Friday night. A big thank you to Elle and her team who so busily prepared such a momentos occassion for the students to cherish forever! I know the children have come in buzzing this morning, with a beautiful sense of excitement and happiness. 


I can't say it enough and I'm hoping it came through clearly in my speech on friday night, that I feel so grateful to have had this group (parents included) twice. They are incredibly special and will hold a special place in my heart for many years to come! Now to enjoying the rest of the week together.


A few reminders for this week...


Special Momento - The Year 5's are doing a farewell assembly for the Year 6's on Friday morning at 9am in the hall. All parents are welcome to join us for this. Mrs Holt is asking that ALL the students bring a special momento from their time at school, to present at this assembly. Can you please ensure the students start bringing these in over the next couple of days.


Farewell Mr Hogan - The Yr6's will be doing a quiet little farewell to Mr Hogan at 2.15pm tomorrow afternoon in the Nature Playground. This is something simple, as Mr Hogan didn't want anything but some of the students thought it was important that we got to say goodbye.


Bitmoji ImagePizza - I am going to buy some pizza on Friday for the kids as I little celebration on the last day, I was going to keep it a surprise. They probably will still need a little bit of lunch, especially those who do not like pizza.


Books - these will be coming home in stages this week. Can you please make sure that your child has packed a reusable bag for each day to make life easier for all and to ensure that all is not left until the last day.


Christmas Concert - Tuesday 8th December - please make sure that your child is dressed in their leaver's shirt with Christmas accesoriess, as per Mrs Sherborne's instructions and at our class by 5.20pm. We will move down to meet you there at 5.30pm. Please make sure that you are dressed comfortably and remember that it is an alcohol free event.


Excursion - Wednesday 9th December - Please make sure that your child has returned their permission slip. They are able to wear free dress on this day. Remember BYO recess, hat, rashie, towel, ice cream money and water. It is looking like it will be a warm day so extra water is good! 

Remember they need to be picked up at 3pm from Xcape to the Cape.


Cleaning - We will be cleaning our drawers, tables and chairs on Thursday morning at 10am. If you are able to come in assist for an hour, we would be so grateful. Thanking you in advance😊


Christmas Eve Mass - The 6.00pm Christmas Eve children's mass is being held here at school this year. 


Vinnies Boxes - If you haven't already can I ask you to make a small donation to our box. These will be presented at assembly on Friday.


I look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Concert on Tuesday...

Good morning, We hope you are enjoying the beautiful start to the holidays. Whilst our end to the term was quite intense, we hope that the weeks of home schooling weren't too stressful on you all. I was so proud at how quickly the students adapted to the new situation and then produced incredible pieces of work.  I am currently working through all the marking: Narratives, Basil Presentations and Maths tests but from what I've seen so far there are some very pleasing results. All Maths tests completed and uploaded have been marked and your child's results can be found where they saved their test in OneNote. The results for the other two tasks will be saved in OneNote under 'Assessment Results' in the coming week for your child to view. Kaya, This blog has been expertly created by Imogen King and Tilly Hall, and I am sure you will agree that they have done a wonderful job.  Hope you all had a nice refreshing weekend with your friends and family! As the weather begins to get colder, we are reaching the end of Djeran and moving towards the wintery season of Makuru.  Good news...you’ll be starting to see less of the different types of snails ( probably eating your veggies in your garden!😂 ) and Shelducks paddling in lakes and pools of water... Good Evening All, It is with great sadness I say that this will be my final blog post for the year. I can not describe how incredibly proud of students and the leaders this group has become. They have worked hard, played hard and lead hard...what more could I have asked for! Thank you for the amazing support and care you have shown me throughout the year. The constant check-ins, the quick response to my endless requests and willingness to help in anyway has been both noted and appreciated throughout the year. Many thanks to our parent reps for making my job easy and communicating anything that needed to be done, I am so grateful. Whilst I don't think I deserve it, I am touched to have received a very generous voucher to Blue Manna from the class and a number of thoughtful gifts from other families.
