Week 2 Term 4

 Good morning all,

What an incredibly beautiful weekend. We couldn't have asked for better weather to start our summer sport commitments and not to mention, a bit of socialisation at the same time.

Assemblies are back...and on Friday we celebrated the lovely Saffi for her incredible start to our final term. She is showing great focus, producing some excellent pieces of work last week. I have to say that, all of the students began the term well, they must have had a great rest over the holidays!

IMPORTANT MUSICAL INFORMATION

Firstly students are now allowed to wear their Sports uniform Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The additional day is because of the Musical rehearsals taking place on a Wednesday and we can only do our best dance moves in comfier clothes!!

MEETING NOTES: Last Wednesday, we had a Musical meeting, thank you to the few who were able to attend. Below is the minutes of what was discussed on the day. Apologies if your name is on a job already, however your skills were remembered from previous years. In saying this, if your name is on a job and you can't do it, please send me an email and I can find someone else😊 We are still needing additional helpers, so if you can help out with anything below please let myself or Mrs Horrocks know.

Mrs Horrocks strongly pointed out, that this is a simple production called 'It's a Jungle Out There' that is all about the children, therefore there is not as many jobs required for this year.

WHEN: Matinee - Tuesday 24th November (Week 7) @ approximately 1.45pm (Time TBC)

                Friday 27th November (Week 7) @ 7pm

Bear - costume being used from Jungle Book

                         Black Panther - costume borrowed

Lion - costume being used from previous years

                         Zebra - to be found/made

Cheetahs - Costume needs to be purchased by parents - possible onesie costing approximately $30. This onesie will be confirmed.

Hyenas - Costume needs to be purchased by parents - suggested idea is a plain grey  or brown hoodie and matching tracksuit pants. Felt patches and ears would be added to the clothing at school.

PROPS: Nicole Vernon and other helpers, please? (Speak to Nicole about what is needed)

On the Friday night production, we were wanting to have a light supper together afterwards to celebrate the children and their efforts. We would ask each family to  bring a share plate to contribute to this.

The school will be providing a small treat for the students, to thank them for their hard work and commitment.

LASTLY, I ask if you can send me a brief email outlining the estimated number of tickets your family would require. This is important as it will determine if we need to have a second night or not. Can you please get this email to me as soon as possible. It's only to be a rough guide, and is totally fine if your numbers change slightly later on.

I bet this all is as clear as mud!! Please don't hesitate to contact myself or Maureen if you have a question or two down the track. Updates will follow as we get closer to the time.
