Week 6 Merit!
Good afternoon,
I hope your week is going well.
Today we were lucky enough to surprise Jasper with receiving a Merit Award for his inciteful contributions during our Picture book discussions. He has also designed a new Lost Thing, called the Bodyguard Bot and through his clever use of persuasive techniques I feel the need to have one in my life! Congratulations, Jasper!

PLANTING SEEDLINGS
In Health we have being looking at ways to maintain a healthy student well-being. We have been looking at the PERMA model, and our focus yesterday was on the 'E for Engagement'. My aim was to set two tasks, one that was very boring and tedious and the other was interesting and far more exciting. The purpose was to draw attention to how we felt when we were engaged and disengaged and link this to how this effects our well-being!
The students were pleasantly surprised when Mr Lee walked in to do some gardening with them...hence the reason you may have some seedlings at home with you at the moment. Mr Lee has set the students a challenge, hoping that these egg cartons return after the holidays with healthy tomato and lettuce crops. If successful these seedlings will be used in a fundraiser for the school later in year. See how engaged the students were in the photos below:
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone, see you at the carnival tomorrow.
Mrs Ricciardone
