Term 3 Week 6

Good afternoon everyone,

Congratulations to both of the Eagles and Dockers on their win this weekend! We took our boys to the Dockers game on Saturday night and loved being apart of the action again! Even better that we got a win in.

On Friday we had a big day of celebrations... firstly we were blessed with Mrs Meyer coming in to announce our Jumps and Throws winners. It was so pleasing to see a variety of students scoring a ribbon for their efforts, such a talented bunch.

THEN...we were blessed again to see Mrs Meyer present our STAR CITIZEN AWARD. We celebrated the lovely Isis, who received the award for her kind, caring and respectful nature towards her peers, teachers, the environment and herself. What an incredible addition to the school she has been this year...

However the celebrations did not stop here! Just before lunch, we hadn't had enough of Mrs Meyer for the day so she decided to come back with the big boss and award our wonderful CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES & PRAYER BUDDIES with their certificates. As a way to finalise our celebrations we shared a delicious cupcake together, made by the lovely Nadine Love. Thank you greatly Nadine and any little helpers, they were the highlight of my day!

It was at this point we decided it was time to stop the celebrations and get serious for the last hour of school!

WEEK 6 - REMINDERS

HOMEWORK WEEK 6
As our sports carnival is on Thursday and there is a Pupil Free Day on Friday, homework will be due on Thursday of this week.

FACTION CARNIVAL

OLC’s Sport Carnival is on this Thursday 27th August. Parent spectators are welcome! Students are to report to class by 8:40am and we will come down to the faction bays around 9am. The children are to wear their faction shirts on this day and may wear faction colours in their hair or coloured sunscreen. They can also bring a team mascot in their faction colour!

Please ensure that they pack plenty of healthy snacks and a full water bottle for the day. Please return the note sent home last week if you are planning to take your child home at the conclusion of the carnival. We don’t know what time it will finish but it is expected that it will be before 3pm, therefore, we need to know who will be leaving or returning to class until the final bell.
