Happy Holidays!

Good morning,

We hope you are enjoying the beautiful start to the holidays. Whilst our end to the term was quite intense, we hope that the weeks of home schooling weren't too stressful on you all. I was so proud at how quickly the students adapted to the new situation and then produced incredible pieces of work.

I am currently working through all the marking: Narratives, Basil Presentations and Maths tests but from what I've seen so far there are some very pleasing results. All Maths tests completed and uploaded have been marked and your child's results can be found where they saved their test in OneNote. The results for the other two tasks will be saved in OneNote under 'Assessment Results' in the coming week for your child to view. Today you will receive an email with your child's Interim Report attached. Keep an eye out for this!
With both Ali and I being at home working and educating our own children, we truly appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes to assist your child as well as ensure you are successfully keeping up with the demands of your own job. It wasn't an easy feat, so thank you for being so supportive and appreciative of what was being provided. It definitely made the long hours worth it.

Next term, we will follow a similar format with a few slight changes. We are wanting to ensure that we are constantly connected with the students offering a structured daily format, as well as provide some flexibility for those families who need to juggle other demands at certain times of the day. This format and change in procedures will be outlined in an upcoming blog/video (I promise no crying) closer to the start of Term 2.

LOOK WHAT WENT ON IN WEEK 9!

Cooper and Emilio are taking up a career in producing short films, see their Obstacle Challenge below!

The Martin family got involved in Mrs Sinclair's obstacle challenge too and allowed Kade to be the BOSS of the Obstacle Course at their house! Good job team Martin!

Hannah completed a Science and Math's lesson all in one, when it came time to weigh and check over their new baby chicks! They are adorable!

Saffi and Kobe were so pleased when it was Art time, they needed a break from all the work their bossy new teacher was giving them๐Ÿ˜‰.

Then part way through the week I found out, that a special congratulations goes to Saffi for receiving the MVP Award in her Under 12's Basketball Team. What an absolute super star! We are so proud of you Saffi!

Lastly the highlight of my week was listening to my beautiful families read the Reader's Theatre text together. My boys would often come and join me and we had the widest smiles on our faces to hear the very creative and entertaining voices that people would come up with. Thank you for having fun with this, I could hear that your children were loving this time with you.

I have to mention Ken Jennings who took on the role of Callum, he had me in stitches. Kobe, Saffi and Elli did so well to keep it together and motor on. For your amusement, Ken has given me permission for you all to hear. Enjoy!

From next term you will find the Weekly Learning Grid and Resources uploaded here on the blog instead of through an email. This will be our main source of communication, so keep an eye out for the next blog post  in a couple of weeks that will outline the procedures for term 2.

In saying this, it is now time for you all to relax and enjoy some precious family time together, especially as Easter approaches this weekend. One thing I am truly thankful for in this situation is the opportunity to bond and develop closer connections with my family. How lucky am I!

Wishing you a very happy and safe Easter with your families.

happy easter!

Lots of love,

Mrs Ricciardone & Mrs Martin
